How to Book

Make a booking enquiry through your travel agent or directly with us with details of your preferred tour/s and dates. We will confirm availability as per your enquiry specification. Payment of a non-refundable deposit of AUD 500 per passenger per tour is required within 7 days of confirmation to make and hold the reservation. Balance payment to be received by Travel Talk Holidays no later than 75 days prior to commencement of the booked services. Note: Some of the tours and ground arrangements may require a higher deposit.

Price Guarantee

Prices are valid for periods as stated in this brochure. Prices are based on costs and exchange rates as at 15 April 2010. Should these change it may be necessary to make a surcharge on the price of your holiday. However no surcharge in respect to costs or currency fluctuations will be made to the arrangements once payment has been received by Travel Talk Holidays in full. This does not apply to any tax changes or levies by any government or its agencies.


Should you alter your arrangements after your original booking, a fee of AUD 50 per amendment will be levied, to cover extra administrative costs. In addition to the above Travel Talk Holidays fee, amendment and/or cancellation charges may be imposed by the tour operator, depending on the nature of the change.

Late Bookings

A fee of AUD 50 per booking will be levied for bookings made within 10 working days of commencement of services.

Credit Cards

A 2% service charge applies to Visa and Mastercard and 3.5% for Diners and American Express.

Cancellations & Refunds – Land Arrangements

If it is necessary to cancel your holiday the following cancellation fees per person per arrangement apply.

More than 75 days before commencement of services – loss of deposit, 75-30 days before commencement of services – up to 50% of cost, 29-15 days before commencement of services – Up to 100% of cost, 14 - 0 days before commencement of services – 100%

Cancellation fees cannot be waived and there are no exceptions. No refunds on unused services are available. Please note that employees of any overseas suppliers are not authorised by Travel Talk Holidays to make undertakings to our clients in respect to refunds.

Cancellations & Refunds – Air Arrangements

Cancellation fees will apply as required by airlines regulations and will vary dependant upon the type of airfare used. Airfares prices and taxes are subject to change or withdrawal without notification until ticketed. Full payment is required before tickets can be issued. Travel Talk (International) or Travel Talk Holidays cannot be held liable for any increases in prices or changes in the rules and conditions. Foreign currency airfares and airport taxes may fluctuate and are subject to the rate of exchange on the date of ticket issue. Increases in airport taxes are not the responsibility of Travel Talk and can be imposed up to departure.

Local Services

Should you encounter any problems on your holiday please try and solve this directly with the supplier. If you are not satisfied with the result you may lodge a complaint in writing within 30 days of completing your Travel Talk Holidays services.

Not Included in the Tour Cost

Passports, Visas, insurance, excess baggage over 20 kgs, extra meals, laundry, drinks, souvenirs, camera and video entry fees to monuments and items of a personal nature.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that at the time of booking, you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy of your choice. We recommend that the policy include loss of deposit, loss of money and loss or damage to personal baggage and appropriate medical coverage. Your travel agent will be able to offer you a suitable holiday insurance policy.

Passport, Visas and Vaccinations

It is mandatory that you familiarise yourself with any visa and health requirements that may be applicable in the countries you are visiting. You are responsible for all entry and exit health and any other documents required by the laws, regulations, orders, demands or requirements of countries visited or transited. Please note that passport and visa requirements are not the responsibility of Travel Talk Holidays or that of your travel agent. Both parties cannot be held liable for any loss or expense due to the failure to comply with the above.

Travel Advice

Official travel advice issued by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is available by calling (in Australia) 1300 555 135 or visiting the website www.dfat.gov.au. We recommend you review this information both prior to making your booking and prior to departure.

Holiday Variations

If unforseen circumstances beyond our control require us to make necessary changes to your holiday we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule itineraries. When it is necessary to change a hotel we reserve the right to substitute accommodation of at least a similar standard.


Travel Talk Holidays accepts bookings subject to the following conditions

a) Travel Talk Holidays acts as a co-ordinator for all persons taking the tour, in the making of arrangements for transportation, sightseeing and hotel accommodations. Travel Talk Holidays does not own, manage, control or operate any transportation vehicle, any hotel or restaurant or any other supplier of services. All coupons, receipts, vouchers and tickets are subject to terms and conditions specified by the suppliers and all services are subject to the laws of the country where the services are provided.

b) A booking is accepted only after Travel Talk Holidays receives the deposit and issues the client or their travel agent a confirmation invoice. The balance must be paid not later than 75 days before departure, otherwise Travel Talk Holidays will treat the booking as cancelled regardless of whether a deposit is being held.

c) Travel Talk Holidays only acts as an agent for the owners, contractors and suppliers of transportation and/or related travel services provided and assume no responsibility for the loss or damage to baggage, property or for injury, illness or death or for any damages or claims however so caused arising directly or indirectly from accidents, loss or damage to person or property, delays, transport failures, strikes, wars and uprisings and Acts of God etc, over which we have no control. Clients are strongly advised to insure adequately for the full duration of their travel arrangements in respect to injury, death, baggage and personal effects.

d) While Travel Talk Holidays will use its best endeavours to operate all tours as advertised, reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made without notice where deemed necessary or advisable by Travel Talk Holidays. No refund will be made for any unused services which are included in the tour price.

e) All matters rising to the services provided by Travel Talk Holidays but not in respect of other things are governed by the law of the state of Victoria (Australia).
